I'm not a classicist or historian, but I'd suggest a better analogy using the fire of Rome is that we are seeking to arrange an organised evacuation, prior to any fires starting on the horizon... My thought is the fires will start burning brightly in a few days time, when investors get a measure of just how much of their investment is stuck waiting for recovery... Fire extinguishers at the ready Why in a few days time? Is there any upcoming "surprise" we don't know about? Considering the nature of product, it was ended in best possible way it could (Imo). I've ended it for myself about 6 months ago. So far my "stuck value" is higher than lifetime earnings, but I'm quite confident that I won't end up in loss of capital on BM. If two or three of my non-performing loans repay I'll break even. I don't think closure of BM's Core product will become a topic hot enough for deployment of "fire extinguishers".

The 1st monthly cash payments started to be processed this morning. I know quite a few have gone out (and been received already). Please allow most of this week for us to input, check and verify all bank accounts, and make payments.
If you have any questions or concerns, you know where we are: - invest@bondmason.com (or me directly if you don't get a response in 1 business day: stephen.findlay@bondmason.com) - 01582 802 000 - 1 The Foresters, Harpenden, AL5 2FB.
Many thanks.

June repayments: we made payments totalling £1.56M back last week. c.8% of book.
There are a very small number of clients (9) we are waiting to hear back from to confirm bank details. Please call back if you have had a call or email from us to confirm your details.
Many thanks,
Steve

The 1.5% non deductible fee was a not insignificant nail in the coffin for any honest HR taxpayer.

July repayments: we've set up repayments totalling 5% of client funds this month. Including last month, clients should now have 12.9% back on average (some will have more, some will have less).
Please look out for the repayments in your nominated bank account this week.
We are still expecting: - Month 0-6 (ie until end 2019): 60% of funds to be returned - Month 6-12 (ie H1 2010): 30% of funds to be returned - Month 12+: 10% of funds to be returned.
Please call 01582 802 000 or email invest@bondmason.com if you have any questions with respect to your account.
Many thanks.

I had a lower repayment in June. Therefore I have a LOT less then the average. I was interested in your promised list of partners for this product. Well at least the ones that are accessible to retail. Could you give an update on the BRIX product, I can see your tracker reports. Thanks.

Two reasons could be: (1) you deposited and invested funds in the last few months (Feb-May) or (2) you liquidated funds in (April-May). Re BRIX: we soft launched, and its only available via IFAs and Wealth Managers for now (due to regulatory constraints). Please see BRIXim.com for basic details. We are launching a second investment theme this week, also only via IFAs and Wealth Managers initially. Thank you for your interest in these.

I haven't got a 4th July email. I wonder whether because I'd already closed my account before the wind down. I'll email. Thanks.

Puzzled, why does today's email show the % return for August? Is this a prediction? And my cash returned today is approx 2 x expected (2 x cash shown in my account earlier today)?

We processed some material month end repayments and interest receipts this morning, before sending out cash. Your cash balance would have increased through the course of today. Hopefully that is a good thing!
