My bad debt repayment is just a little more than June's defaults. Given that I have significantly lower return than their target, I'm not particularly cheered. If I hadn't had this repayment my earnings for June would have been very much in the negative.

Looking at my last 12 months figures this repayment amounts to 98.8% of my profit.

do you mean that you have previously had 2% of your profit, but now this loan sale had normalised your earnings, or have you nearly doubled your earnings?

It's very interesting in this most recent loan sale I have a few borrowers that are still paying their loans that have been sold to the relevant benefactor. Admittedly so far the first one I have checked with payments in last month has not paid any interest in the last 2 years but ...
The thing is that loan alone Capital + Interest is more than the loan itself. So I am in profit on that loan yet Zopa sold it probably because the loan was more 5 years old but as far as I can tell on that loan alone they have paid capital payments - albeit 7p - every month since the arrangement was probably made some 2 years ago. The loan purchaser is probably rubbing their hands together for these types of loans if there are quite a few.
I'm off to check how many more I have, there are a lot of these pre-safeguard ones this time round.
Watch this space.
