I think having the vote in the dashboard is good and should make it easier to keep track.
Hopefully there will be more lenders to participate.
I don't think that its right to only show the the results frome voters and not show the proportion of non voters.

Really to be meaningful it should show the investment value of the votes for, against and abstaining.
Does the lender with £1 really get the same vote weight as someone with £100,000 ?

No, it's weighted by holding so £1 equals 1 vote, £100k equals 100,000 votes. Qaa/30daa/90daa holdings always abstain.

See www.assetzcapital.co.uk/t-c-s, section 13 Default Procedures, point 9 "On a poll, each Lending Syndicate Member shall have one vote for every pound of the nominal value of the Loan Units held by it"

Thanks that's insightful.
So the main reason votes appeared to have low participation is that the access funds never vote! Did not realise that.
So whereas previously there appeared to be a low voter turnout due to ineligibility to vote. With the new system it will only be those who did vote?
Perhaps AC should show those who could have voted but didn't?

Also, unknown number of SurveyMonkey emails end up in peoples' junk mail, possibly due to mail servers' criteria on third-party links. I use Thunderbird with AOL, and mine usually end up in "Bulk Mail" folder, which you need to check specifically (deleting the messages from widows of Nigerian presidents, my dear).
I guess there are also a lot of people who can't be bothered to read / respond, treating the MLA as a fire-and-forget investment.

No wonder over 50% don't bother to vote when the outcome can be determined by a handful of investors. Anyway, apart form D******D M****N and a handful of shrapnel I'm out now.

No. No they don't. BUT when I get a vote email I would welcome a reminder of my level of investment, which can often be just pennies via the GBBA or similar.
Oh I see now that I am told on the web page. Good news. However
I have zero money invested so my vote won't count for anything

Are we going to be asked for a security code via SMS for every vote?

It seems 2fa will be applied for every vote which makes it a real pain. I use 3 different devices so am constantly needing SMS messages even to log-in. I also run 3 separate accounts so find it extremely frustrating and participate in loans much less frequently. I am sure that is not what AC set out to achieve.

Having the landline phone for every vote is part of the experience. Very good when it goes off 3 A.M in the morning waking my Dad sleeping downstairs with some creepy middle aged women saying random numbers. More of this please Jokes aside, it is good they are improving things. Not taking away our ability to vote/partcipate like most platforms will do or have done. Includes key information too that usally is deemed not needed, but since we are making informed choices, they give the majority to us "lenders".

With 2FA on the vote its another nuisance and I doubt if I will now bother to vote as my holdings are typically small in order to diversify.

I find it incredibly annoying too to have 2FA on every vote. I have 2FA set on so I use it to log on every time, so then having to use it on every vote is annoying and I really don't see what value it adds. Worthwhile to have extra security on changing bank details or withdrawal but for a vote to extend a loan a month, really ! chris could you please consider changing this.
