Anyone else unable to access FC this evening? Yes, but it's not been down long, I was using it shortly before it broke (Connection Reset By Peer) -- and no, it wasn't me that broke it, honest.

Anyone else unable to access FC this evening? Maybe something to do with complete overload this pm Had 3 bids at 10.2% on tugboat loan When it finished it appeared that £8000 still above me. 5 mins later it showed I had only 2 bids at 9.9% - the highest bid was in the 10.1%s. From memory as system down. Think it broke the system

I lost out on tugboat, dammit... I thought I was OK with my last set of 10.1%s planted twenty minutes earlier, but some upland gorillas slammed in loads and it went on for ages after closing time, just mopping me up!!!!

Well I think a got a couple of tug boats. But I noticed that my summary page "amount available to lend" was out of synch with available funds showing on another page. So who knows. Website down to fix a major bug... ummmm. Ah well, worse things happen at sea.

Jon@TheOtherForum: "We've had to take the website down immediately to fix a major bug. We will get it back up as soon as possible." Couldn't see that post on the other forum. Though dipping in for the first time in ages to find it, I did come across the discussion on limitation of lenders being restricted to max. of 20% of a loan during the primary auction. I also noticed that a clarification on that point was sought, which intriquingly (can't spell) came from someone who in the past has made a major point of how they restrict themselves to no more than £20 of their hard earned on any single loan. I have to think the question was therefore one of intellectual curiosity rather than practical interest.

Yes, some wag has just slammed in a 15% on 4207 Headstone, when bids of 9.7% have already been rejected

FC's T&Cs don't appear to cover lost bids due to a platform failure. Not that I'm affected but I was just wondering where people stand having placed accepted bids only to find out when it was too late that their bid was wiped out not by competing bids by a platform failure.

Becky has posted on the official forum that the bug was they managed to credit some users with funds they weren't due, and hence the missing bids that we now see are those withdrawn by FC as the lender didn't actually own the money.
What a mess !
