Yep, agreed. Although I don’t think it’s as bad as some folks. But I don’t give a damn if I can still get 6%. Maybe to you, it's a mere annoyance. To those with eyesight-related disabilities, it is not quite such a trivial matter. I thought at first their changes were to do with "improving the experience" for those with eyesight-related disabilities. If you are having problems I'd let them know. Where I used to work they tweaked all sorts of fonts for that reason which made me think there was some kind of legislation about it. I agree about setting your own rate, I've managed to find it a couple of times but if I'm busy I just look at the market rate and think - no, I'll just withdraw. I still haven't managed to find the page that shows payments due/paid in this calendar month only. The new page showing today onwards isn't as much help to me. I like pink and purple but not when it's shouting at me like that!

It would be nice if RS was actually looking at this thread, i'm sure they are, I wonder if they are aware of the laws around diversity that apply to websites as defined and in particular section 5 In general though ... Mind you just a quick peruse around the UK web shows how this could still be open to considerable amount of interpretation. Food for thought none the less and it would be really interesting to see what RateSetter says about this aspect and their current website setup. In case anyone is wondering my eyesight is not that great these days but thankfully colour issues are not a problem to me just an annoyance that I know how to control.

Very interesting, it does not seem to mind the diverse colours but it does seem to suggest that a disabled persons reader tool will not work on it. I wanted to check it out as a user but was put off as I had to login and was not sure what the wave tool was sucking up in terms of data from my end. Just on the login screen alone its not a happy bunny. Edit1: It seems I was not using correctly it does not like the contrast of the obtuse pink/read on while on the login screen. Edit2: the further I dig into the wave tools the worse it gets in terms of missing items - it reminds me of when we discovered the w3c tools in our development and design team there was so much we did not know checks were thrown out by senior management as not relevant unless someone complains!. Sadly that will be a fact of life I guess. Edit3: Dug even deeper and they have an extension offline tool that might be just the ticket perhaps. Edit4: Using the extension is a bit fiddly but boy does it bring up a number of interesting issues with the contrast thing. I don't think it can see the colours on the green and purple banners but it does hate that pink/red thing. It also throws up some really important labelling issues that I think clearly means it's not going to work for people with special sight reader tools.

I missed the voting window, but having not logged on for a while and now finding it difficult to set my own rates it is a definite thumbs down from me!
The site looks superficially more sophisticated, but is actually more difficult to read, takes far more clicks to perform actions and often means going back to the home page to access options which I used to be linked between pages. The only way I've found to set/change the rate of an offer to my rate is by going back to the Invest screen and edit the appropriate term, but then have to repeat that for every existing or new offer! And the process is so obscure I'm sure many people are unaware of it!
Any insights will be appreciated, but I suspect it is as noted above, to discourage use of own rates

A decent downturn and this lot will struggle to survive.
Wonder how long seed investors are going to last before losing patience? Isn't Woodford an early adapter here?
Anyhow get used to the useless new site, it is staying. Just remember when they mail you asking for feedback, divert it to junk mail. These lot have investor's interest way down the list.

Ta for the factual analysis. Full of insight. Glib perhaps, but I rather agree. Each of these platforms to varying degrees struggle to a) make positive returns for investors (without paying it for themselves) and b) make a profit in doing so. I wouldn't quite forecast complete catastrophe, but a sizeable recession or indeed a No-Deal Brexit would probably cause very significant issues for each of them and one or two of them going under. In my view.
