Your personal experience isn't reflective of the aggregate. Regarding plants, if anything the opposite is true. Just look at the overwhelmingly hostile and negative perception of FS that has been created by a very vocal handful of posters. Are they really who they claim to be with no ulterior motives. There is no way to find out for sure which of us is correct so ultimately the conversation topic is pointless. When two opposing views are firmly entrenched discussion is pointless, which is why I rarely bother getting involved. The problem I have here is I have not seen any ringing endorsements of the new product. Indeed worse still my own earlier post - viewed from a certain angle in dim light - is the only one that could be seen as positive. Maybe pip would care to share if this is one of those that has offended them. If it is, maybe I should pick a side. Picking a side in this case is like picking a scab. No matter which you choose you will get bloodied. Better to put a few bob on your preferred Brexit outcome Brexit Odds

Better to put a few bob on your preferred Brexit outcome Brexit OddsIf I could bring myself to do it, it's almost worth betting on us leaving by then as a currency hedge given that it would likely involve the PM breaking the law and No-Deal (even if a Deal is miraculously agreed, I can't see it being signed off by then). Never would there be a bet I'd hope to lose more.

Everybody wants to rule the world though. They want some money for nothing, movies, refrigerator, MTV. FS see me rollin' (over my loans) but I'd invest in FS30 too. but only if there's no-no no-n-no-no no-n-no no limit. edit: Shaft.

The diversification of FS30 is dynamic. Here's the update of my £1
Un-invested amount: 17p. Total allocation for loan filling: 74p Largest allocation for loan in funding: 30p Largest active loan: 6p
It will more interesting to watch when FS30 250k is fully invested.

It will be interesting how FS apportion interest at 5% to such a small amount. There will have to be considerable rounding up/down if sufficient people subscribe for small amounts of this new financial instrument offered by FS. If the loan is made for 6p, that equates to 0.3p per annum interest or 0.15p per 6 months at the stated 5% interest. Even if a whole £1 is invested, that equates to 5p per annum, or 2.5p per 6 months. Who will benefit from all the rounding up/down? Seems that over multiple subscribers to the FS30 product, there will be a certain amount of accumulated funds that will not be able to be utilised by lenders as they can not be withdrawn due to the re-payments in fractions. Is FS moving in to the territory of micro finance now?

To clarify - the interest is calculated on the total amount invested in the FS30 account - not on individual loans. At the end of the month the interest accrued on the total is truncated (not rounded) to the nearest penny and paid to the investor. Any residual (sub-1p) amount is then carried over into the following month.
As an example - investing £25 for (say) 20 days would give £25 x 5% / 365 * 20 = 6.8492p Therefore 6p would be paid in interest and 0.8492p carried forward to the following month.
The minimum investment allowed is £1, which would accumulate approximately 0.4p per month, paying out each time the interest totalled more than 1p.
Hopefully this clarifies the details - the first payment will be made on 1st October.

it is probably legitimate to compare and contrast this offering with other 5% ish black box notice accounts. [...] Just to add to the list of comparable offers. GS - 30 day loans. 5.3%. What a star df , providing the researched example that a comparable account offers 5.3% From FS email just received:

Not sure if it's enough, but time will show. At least it is above the most popular accounts of this kind, but would I relocate some of my GS funds to FS at the same rate? Definitely not.

In all honesty my experience of FS is so poor I wouldn't consider lending money on Gold Ingots which were valued at less than 5% of the present price of gold on the world market. If I was a director of FS I would seriously consider establishing a provision fund for new loans for people investing in FS30 as this would be reassuring to investors. Then again if FS are overwhelmed by investors deposits this may not be necessary.

I've just removed 2 posts from this thread, the first I spent 5 minutes redacting the loan titles yesterday evening, now I find the changes have been unredacted. Some of the loan titles identified specific properties - please use the loan numbers not the titles.
Identifying borrower assets on this forum will result in a ban from this forum.

I think fundingsecure may need to consider a bit more finessing to make the account competitive with GS. Auto reinvesting of interest option would be a given, or returns less than the minimum withdrawal limit would just be sat in limbo (Obviously there are ways round that, but just involve work and cost all round). Also the current set up only allows transfer in of £1 plus (the account minimum) regardless of current account balance, that seems short sighted given people may wish to move small interest returns from the main account. Obviously this may involve a more flexible maximum offering.

Why anybody would invest here now is beyond me. Yet another update this morning where the receivers are going in and where the LTV is likely to be tested, and fail.

Uptake can’t be good if they are increasing the rate from 5% to 5.3%.
A bit like Lendy Wealth decreased its minimum investment.......
