Yes I totally agree that the autoinvest algorithm should be designed to invest in just one tranche.
Having to spot upcoming additional tranches and opting out rather defeats the hands off approach to diversification to reduce risk.
Agree100% is it made clear that loans are to the same borrower?

Agree100% is it made clear that loans are to the same borrower? It is made clear. Loans with multiple tranches are labelled as Phase 1, Phase 2, etc. When a borrower has existing loans on the platform it is mentioned in the loan details. However, as stated above, it does defeat the automatic diversification of the AutoInvest account. I would be surprised if CP don't get around to addressing this soon.

Thanks for the info, surely it would be relatively simple for CP to make available the option to change auto invest settings to invest in only tranche 1. As you say the existing arrangement contradicts the diversification aspect of auto invest.

Thanks for the info, surely it would be relatively simple for CP to make available the option to change auto invest settings to invest in only tranche 1. As you say the existing arrangement contradicts the diversification aspect of auto invest. It may be relatively simple but the consequences are not particularly desirable. Lots of people would bid for tranche 1 and so only get a small slice. Fewer people would bid for tranche 2 and so it might be underfunded. There would be greater cash drag for the lenders. There is still risk of overexposure when one borrower has multiple building projects. (I'm a bit sore about this because I made that mistake on another platform).
The only proper solution is for autobid to limit the size of bids so that no borrower receives more than the bid limit. Easy to say but may be harder to implement. However until it is implemented I could not recommend using autobid without making this same check manually for every project offering.

I check any loan that has a phase number higher than one to see if I'm already invested in the project.

Thanks for the info, from my point of view this negates the use of auto invest, back to the drawing board and either spend time on manual lending or pull out completely. Message to self, do a lot more research before investing.

Another problem with autoinvest is shrapnel. I have a number of loans of only a few pounds or even pence which simply clutter things up and make it more difficult to manage the portfolio. maybe CP could either have a global minimum or allow each user to set his own minimum.

Me too, but they now have a £50 minimum in AutoInvest.

Hi spareapennyor2,
I can confirm we received your AutoInvest query earlier today. I have raised this with our development team who are looking into it.
Kind regards,
Lucy

I have been with CP for a while, quite happy with the platform but would be interested to know if anyone else shares a slight concern, I have more than 150 email comments / updates in my inbox on the CP site, is there anyway of knowing if there is a loan in serious problems or default without trawling through the emails, would it be an idea to have a separate thread for problem loans.

It would, if there are any that we know about. CP are either far better than most other platforms or are a bit shy in telling us when loans are in difficulty. AFAICR all comments on my loans have been positive.

Yes alibaba , I share both your satisfaction and you concern. When I trawl through all of my loans I don't find any that cause any major concern, but I don't see an easy way to discover this. Perhaps they would send an obviously important email if one was needed, but even then it would inevitably drift from my mind over time. CP really could do with a redesign of the way they provide updates and the way we can find relevant updates. CrowdProperty Representative could you also add information to your stats page to indicate at which date the figures actually apply please.
