Hi Suzie,
personally I think a paid subscription (or paywall as some would call it) is the wrong approach, but I will watch with curiosity how it plays out for you. Best of success!

I occasionally look at your site usually because of a link on here, which has probably already told most of the story, so not likely to pay for the same information.

When it was free, it was almost entirely rehashed press releases or info that was already available here. So I won't be paying, I'm afraid.
I'm really surprised that you think you can get more from subscriptions than you will lose in advertising revenue, once advertisers twig that the circulation has plummeted.

I completely agree. PTPFN has added absolutely zero value to the issue. This was exactly the sort of issue where I would have considered paying for such a publication, but this has convinced me not to bother. Some of the info wasn't even up to date, e.g. the current length of the sales queue. There are far more insightful comments on this forum.
The publication really just acts as a news aggregator, which is fine if that's what you're willing to pay for, after all it's not exactly expensive, but if you're able to use a search engine and keep up with forum posts its value is very limited.

p2pfinancenewsIts a good publication, we support your mission & hope you get to breakeven soon with your subscription model. A few suggestions: * Please use this forum to source future freelance journalists. There are many semi-retired people with insight and critical thinking who would be good for the publication. Sourcing, commentary and editing. In my view, much of your content could be curated at low cost, from people in the sector. * Publish the Brismo index as a regular inclusion and comment on the relative movement of platforms. * Have an international section that covers top topics from abroad or some of the DIT trade missions. * Make sure that family trusts, IFA networks, fund managers etc get a free copy of the printed publication. * Keep up the presence at events * Allow visitors to read 1 free article each day (akin to Financial Times) * Publish surveys periodically to canvas opinion from platforms & lenders * Offer to support the UKCFA & P2PFA with press & PR syndication of newsworthy stories Keep up the good work!

All content on the Peer2Peer Finance News website seems to be readable currently. (Or possibly all content older than today ??)
Not sure if this is a temporary glitch with the website or a back-down (at least for now) regarding charging a subscriotion to read content which is predominately press releases.

Actually ... not sure what is happening here ... some articles are readable but some aren't ....
As an example (at least for me) this one on FS is readable
