Wondering what effect if any the weather will have
Labour voters Say we can't win and not turn out
or Tories convinced of a win won't bother
Students won't bother cos it's cold affecting labour vote.

I think it will have an effect. I for one am not leaving the house. However I would have in the summer. Just arrived back from oman yesterday and still adapting to the cold and change in sleep hours!

Postal vote? Dont you have to register for that weeks in advance of the election? God just cannot seem to get out of my bed. Best friend seems to be my hot water bottle right now. It was scortching in the uae a few days ago and the sun was so bright.

If anyone has a postal vote, but hasn't posted it, they can take it to a poll station.

It does not matter. The Tories will win regardless. Then they will initiate the HARD brexit. Boris cannot wait to stick his middle finger up at the eu. Jeremy Corbyn will resign after losing and labour will go forth with a fresh female leader.

I don't think fresh is the right word to describe the likely female contenders for leadership, brash would be more like. I made a prediction elsewhere that the labour party will split if they lose badly and the loony left insist on choosing one of their sort again. Many sensible moderates have only stayed waiting for a better life after Corbyn. The student and school age vote, influenced by lefty academics, will probably never be enough to gain a majority.

When you say a"fresh" female leader, do you mean someone other than the completely useless twonks they've currently got on the front bench?

I've just walked a mile wearing the sort of gear I usually reserve for hiking in the Lake District! The polling station had a steady flow of people arriving in their cars! We may all be waking up in the Democratic Peoples Republic Of The UK tomorrow. I wonder if all HNW posters to this site will be purged? I'll be keeping my eye out for those dropping off the boards!

When I voted I asked what turnout was like, and the polling station people said it was fairly brisk. And the weather here in N Lancs is shocking.
Not sure what calculations people are making. There's a lot of scepticism about the opinion polls.

I wonder how many of those driving to the polling station are voting Green! I walked and voted Green - had the Cannabis Is Safer Than Alcohol (CISTA) party been standing as they did in the London elections I'd have voted for them. Point is I am in the second safest Labour seat in the country and my vote means nothing in terms of influencing the outcome of the election. We need a modernised voting system where every vote counts equally.
