Just got this message from RS, why would you be doing maintenance at 11:00 in the daytime unless something really important came up?.
The weird thing is I logged off and then logged in again and got to the top level dashboard and then clicking on a product got me the above message. Why would they not switch off the login screens first before allowing people into the system. I'm not sure if I am still logged in either my guess that I am - cookies wise at the very least.
This for me is not acceptable, maintenance is surely known about why not tell me when I'm logging in that the system will be going down for maintenance say "System will shutdown in 15 mins say - please log out now!"

It's probably just a placeholder message - it could just mean that their servers are seeing an unusually high demand (perhaps because everyone wants a piece of today's higher rates?) Incidentally, the site's loading fine for me

So yes it is now back and just reloading on the "undergoing maintenance " screen shows I am still logged in!.
All a bit wishy washy perhaps.

Think they changed the font, seems worthwhile reason to take the system down

Think they changed the font, seems worthwhile reason to take the system down I guess I should find the positive, they will never be allowed to be a bank using their current approach of maintenance and worse changing things on the fly. ..... Oops mind block again, TSB is still a bank when I last looked ...

They must be patching up the software so we can never get 4% or more access. Unlike last night.

The 1Y is still delivering little snippets every so often and I picked up a 6% in access a little while ago and its still holding. I'm definitely not lending at the new rates though.

Just got this message from RS, why would you be doing maintenance at 11:00 in the daytime unless something really important came up?. A lot of companies now display the "Site currently under maintenance" banner during a system crash. It's less than honest, because it suggests a scheduled and controlled event, whereas in reality it's more likely a catastrophic failure, being that time on a weekday. But it looks better for them than "We have experienced a system failure and we're working to restore service as soon as possible", so it's a form of damage limitation. Window dressing trumps honesty these days.

I'd rather they showed you your position in the queue as it used to, or reinstated the early repayment emails (or both).

I haven't noticed any visual changes but the site seems to load pages (including when canceling orders and withdrawing money - i.e. taking actions on the data) faster than it was before the maintenance. Of course it might just be the time of day that I am using the site (~9am).
