ISTR that there have been a few political parties in the past that have challenged the Monster Raving Loony Party, What was the Party that David Icke tried to start? he was a few sarnies short of a picnic (other choclate confection bars are available) for sure, and Didn't Kilroy Silk split off from ?Labour? to start some alternative party at one point? Made Screaming Lord Sutch look like Harold Wilson :-) Brian

nope it was the names Red lion, red bell, were labour, blue boy, blue pig, blue bell were tory etc and thinking back can't remember any pubs at home having other colours in names I used to drink at The Green Lodge and The Black Horse, thus exposing fatal flaws in your political theory. Both up North where the sun don't shine. The White Horse at Silverstone - a pacifist hangout maybe?

possibly just round where I lived, but I do know it was accepted.
Mind you I can remember my grandad telling me that as a farm worker he was taken with the rest of the workers to vote, and told by the farmer, that if the tories won they would all get free beer that week in his pub, and that if he thought any of them were labour voters he'd tip them off them cart and out of the cottages.
