I think all of us who have chucked in can be proud that we're at least having a go and not just allowing ourselves to be sh*t on from a great height. Thanks Lisa and all those involved.

CURRENTLY £18,651 pledged of £25,000 target from 344 pledges. IF ALL at LAG (currently 1,199 members) pledge, that will be in the region of £60,000... BUT LAG are ONLY approximately 5% of the 22,000 approx. Lendy Investers. IF ALL pledge, then 20 X £60,000 is equal to £1.2 million... THAT is the POTENTIAL, so somehow, ALL Lendy investors NEED to be told about this fund raiser...AIUI There are 9000 investors, the remainder are merely registered on the site but have no money invested. LAG represents about 15% I would guess (across FB & www) but cant calculate how much that would represent in invested terms
Perhaps more pertinent is that currently £140m is outstanding which makes £1.4m on the £1 per £1000 pledge ratio (just dont tell the lawyers)
I think your VERY POSITIVE £1.4m calculation, reads and sounds better, than my under estimated £1.2m calculation. £1.4 MILLION is the POTENTIAL, so somehow, ALL Lendy investors NEED to be told about this fund raiser...Except it was positively wrong and I corrected it but you seem to have quoted the original post.

Yes, but lets not lose sight of the fact that the £25k was intended as a MINIMUM, and the desired figure was as I recall £75k.

GOOD attitude jonno , and the RIGHT one. Do I perceive that perhaps Lenders on here are finally realising that they don't have to take this constant P2P merde, and you're all strapping on your metaphorical big gonads? I was wondering how long it would take, if ever. About time.

I'll take that as a compliment.........................................I think Oh and by the way,who said my "big gonads" were "metaphorical"

But over £24K from "only" 472 pledges in less than 2 days is a pretty impressive start. Depending on progress I would be more than prepared to stick more in. ozboy is right, if we aren't positive now, we will have lost our opportunity.

If we should win the case, and get costs awarded (OK, 'fat chance') is there a plan to send it back to donors or (my preference as a minor donor) some suitable charity?

I felt compelled to look at Trustpilot today on the off chance that some fresh abuse had appeared since I last looked ages ago. As it happened someone had posted about this fund raising activity. I have very little money in there but I'm on a losing streak at the moment, so I figured a few more quid at risk would make no difference. Before Xmas I was persuaded to treat some family members to a holiday in Singapore and stumped up for the non returnable flight fares. Now they don't want to risk going.

If we should win the case, and get costs awarded (OK, 'fat chance') is there a plan to send it back to donors or (my preference as a minor donor) some suitable charity? Might Kiva be deemed suitable? IMHO, WHY Oh WHY, has this been brought up or even raised? The REASON I ask this, is because some people have lost a lot and IF, by ANY chance the COSTS are returned, WHAT BUSINESS is it for anybody to suggest that those costs in TOTAL (if that is what you are suggesting) should be sent to a charity? IF you want to INDIVIDUALLY do it, so be it. PLEASE consider these comments on Trust Pilot and others, WHERE EVERY PENNY and POUND counts. Review on Trust Pilot, that was posted on the 10th April 2019; Oh dear it all seemed so great at the beginning.Oh dear it all seemed so great at the beginning,I got 12% interest as promised and was encouraged to invest more- I now have £11000 in a series of defaulted loans.some are outstanding now over two years with little or no action, ludicrously uninformative ‘ updates’ appearing every month to tell us nothing except we are proceeding/ as and when/we expect etc etc. This has caused me severe difficulties as I have had to borrow on credit cards to make up the deficit,at a period of great totally unexpected expenditure for me.I clearly can’t retire as planned due to these actions.nobodys dead,it’s not Stalingrad- but it is a daily source of worry and anxiety.reading the large number of negative reviews has not relieved this one iota.Avoid avoid avoid.
