Thanks jlend, moving average explains it nicely... and very well predicted robski - there is indeed evidence of a small upturn in the graph today, as propman has noted!

Why is there £1.6m on offer at 4.6% in the 5 year market when you can get more than that in the 1 year market or even Access or the Assetz Quick Access account?

Why is there £1.6m on offer at 4.6% in the 5 year market when you can get more than that in the 1 year market or even Access or the Assetz Quick Access account? Baffles me! Today there's still £2.5m on offer below 6.2% on 5 year, whilst Plus went up to that figure with only 20% of the withdrawal penalty! Is it that RS are willing to sacrifice utilising cheap 5 year funds to strangle that market? Whatever was the plan, it would have seemed better to use them and reserve some of the new markets' dwindling funds - the majority of my this year's loans on Plus at average 6.0% are originally 5 year, so suitable candidates.

I really don't know how the 5yr market works to be honest, plenty of money still queuing in this market.

Some activities in the 5 year market due to high demand. It seems 5.9% on 5Y are available
