I heard a few months ago that starling had a venture with growth street. Now zopa as well ? This must be due to the additional government funding they were given to boost the uk economy. Yep, and too many interconnections for my liking, which history has shown can cause domino effects when things go wrong. P2P works best in it's original unfettered form, but with so many platforms all struggling for market share and returns collapsing, things are bound to overlap. We may approach the era where P2P is not really peer to peer at all and is the preserve of institutional investors only...a bizarre turnaround. My instinct made me pull out of FC ages ago, Z a few months ago, and very recently GS too; for just such reasons. Not saying these platforms are inherently unstable or about to collapse, it's just an unease about lodging large funds in platforms doing business in this way, and which could end up being trapped in.

I used to feel this way too, but I tend to now see it as confirmation that Z is not about to become another Lendy. When Starling got involved with Z they must've performed their own DD on Z to see what there credit processes were, default expectations etc. For me it's a seal of approval to a degree. I need that now-a-days
