I recently made a complaint to the Insolvency Service about BDO. Maybe others should do the same. Basically BDO are ignoring messages sent despite nudges They are overdue with their periodic report The last report on their system shows that despite over £2m collected, only themselves and a solicitor's practise have been paid (the latter over £130k I seem to remember) The FCA originally wrote the following when they appointed BDO: "The FCA took court action to ensure that the interests of creditors and investors affected by Collateral UK’s administration were properly protected and treated fairly by a validly appointed administrator who is independent of anyone connected to the Collateral Companies. On 10 May 2019, each of the Collateral Companies entered creditors’ voluntary liquidation." It does not seem top be happening. I encourage everyone here to complete the form at www.gov.uk/complain-about-insolvency-practitioner as best you can. Mind you I have not even had an acknowledgment form them yet <sigh> Bring back Uncle Gordon, all is forgiven

In liquidation reports are only due every year. The last one was dated 08/7/2020.

If CUK did not have a blue light flashing on it already, GCs appointment was surely the siren.

I'm sure you're aware stevelee that every reply BDO provides probably costs us £150 - £250+ or some such ridiculously extortionate amount. I think any of us get a Reply from BDO on any subject it's probably an excellent idea to post on here so that we don't reinvent a VERY expensive Ferrari wheel. PS- THINK before you write/email/phone BDO for anything fellow COLL Losers FCA Gross Incompetence Sufferers, is it really necessary?? The Creditors Committee can of course ask BDO questions for you at the next meeting and a verbal answer should not cost anything, if the CC report it back.

The Insolvency Service isn't the regulator, they will forward it on to the relevant professional body, either IPA or ICAEW, whoever provides the licence to practice for the lead IP. You are required to complain to the IP first which I assume you have done. AIIUI handling complaints cannot be claimed as a cost of the liquidation.

Do you know who is the Authorising Body for the IPs ? mah Go to www.gov.uk/complain-about-insolvency-practitioner and select START NOWThere are 5 different authorising bodies ICAEW, IPA, ACCA, ICAS, CAI, listed on the complaint form. Eg. Each member of BDO will be authorised by one or more. You need to complain about an individual of BDO. (up to 3 complaints allowed per form) The complaint form has a link to www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/fip1/Search for Company BDO. There are 40 members listed. Select the member you wish to complain about. When you send your complaint it will be vetted by Customer Services at the Insolvency Service, before being passed to the relevant authority.

I'm sure BDO has well rehearsed standard replies to every query/complaint . Goes with the job. Its a revolving door . Rather like the 'Valuation Brigade'. Cynical? No,not after this charivari, just resigned .

Normally you would complain about the main appointee, which in this case is Shane Crooks, who is licenced by the ICAEW

Hello Duck
It was mentioned in an earlier thread that we will be receiving a report end June start of July
Do you think this will be the final report with all the dividends from all of the loans?
If it is do we then have to wait for the FCA report to our complaints.
What would then be the next step?
Thanks Tony
