I'm not sure the Access RYI moving one place in a week is necessarily great news, especially when we know the amount being released was zero for most of it...

If the queue had remained completely static, it would be a strong indicator that something Very Bad was about to be revealed. If it is moving forward, even at a £1 a day there is hope .

It's probably just me but it looks to me from that most recent RS report that the RYI amounts being returned are steadily reducing week on week.
I'd be happier to be wrong though ...

Looks pretty flat to me, there was a step down when the interest haircut happened but looks pretty consistent since that to me

agreed - hopefully we will get a similar amount released tomorrow and that will make 3 weeks in a row in an upward trend...fingers crossed

agreed - hopefully we will get a similar amount released tomorrow and that will make 3 weeks in a row in an upward trend...fingers crossed Yes at least the releases haven't dried up which is good news, but it does all seem to be coming from the 1yr and 5yr markets with Access moving at a snail's pace if at all. At the current rate it doesn't look like anyone with an Access request from about the 14th or 15th onwards is going to see their money until well into 2021. If Ratesetter give investors their queue positions as they have said they are going to then we will all get a pretty clear idea of just how slowly the Access/Plus/Max queues are moving.

There might be more to this than meets the eye. I suspect that the older (discontinued to new investors) 1 and 5 yr accounts are mainly lent to private individuals and these are relatively old loans which have settled down so are paying reliably. The newer accounts Access/Plus/Max come after RS's swerve into property development loans so will be very heavy in large loans to a few developers. I would expect most (all probably) developers to have asked for the 3 month payment forbearance that they are entitled to which means income from them is absolutely zero. Good news is that when the forbearance period ends then payments should start back up so for these accounts it's painful for 3 months then it hopefully improves.
