I have no problem with them tempering cash outflows as a temporary measure during difficult market conditions* I am however VERY alarmed that they apply policies retrospectively like this, just because they think they can.

One could be mistaken in thinking the terms and conditions are there to protect you, unfortunately they are there to protect AC business and nothing else.
