According to video communication sent today, there's a new loan coming up this week. Sent via email or posted somewhere? I can't find any reference in my emails across ISA/personal/business so may be unworthy?

Good decision on 141, thank you Ablrate and the borrower.

Good decision on 141, thank you Ablrate and the borrower. I would second that. It would seem as if the borrower has reached the same decision we had, that the change in climate had made it less obviously viable at this time. So that leaves 137. I would still argue (I have read the additional information, although it is technically old news) that the risk profile on this has changed with current events, even ignoring the borrower launching a very large new request today. It is a difficult balancing act for all concerned to get a fair outcome, and I accept that. Maybe withdrawing and relaunching immediately would give all concerned a fair chance to commit or distance?

Despite the current crisis I'd be keen to invest in 142, but will only do this if 137 is cancelled. Simply because my overall exposure to this borrower (incl. 137) is already up to my self-imposed limit and I'm not keen on breaking my own rules.

Just watched Ablrate 2 video, shame they are not getting snappy titles. I have mentally called it the bearded man returns
In this one the main character has a name, and the setting is more glamorous. The tone is quite dark but delivered in an upbeat manner.
I could have just said, I think the videos work well.....but where is the fun in that.
If extras are needed for the next episode I have a bit of time on my hands currently.

Yes, I have seen Covid-2 by DBW. The trouble is that I cannot find anything to criticise. Timely, comprehensive, and full of good sense. Nothing to disagree with.

I have changed the thread title, the original issue is no more.
In my case the result was what I wanted, although the route there was different to the one I had in mind. Seems that some of us were allowed to cancel bids (You get treated like a naughty child and told how lucky you are). I am tempted to claim an outrageous percentage in anticipation of getting the right figure in a strong denial, but guess somewhere between 10 and 15% by Value would be close
Obviously the next logical step is to throw a tantrum, post that I am selling all my loans and never wish to deal with this terrible platform again, however there are three reasons why I will not be doing that.....
Its really not my style, and people always look a touch ridiculous doing it
The platform wouldn't care a jot, I have never been a big investor here (and currently have lees than £3000 on the platform)
And probably the most important, 85% of my loans are paused/suspended and going nowhere fast, but I suspect in time will give me a good enough return to exit in positive territory (a 40% return would do). Plus I feel it is essentially a decent platform, just not the one for me.
Its not a fourth more an observation, poor old Ablrate (who knew that was pronounced Able rate) has been given the 'black spot' of hype and popularity by the forum. Recent history tells us that is a sure sign of bad things to come.
If anybody is wondering why I am posting at daft o'clock in the morning, it's social distancing Easter Bunny related.

I had no bids on 137, but am pleased to hear that Ablrate and the borrower did he right thing in allowing an exit. Ablrate's good reputation among lenders, for supporting lenders, has lasted for some five years, and it's not a fashion or crowd-following feature. I regret that, in part because of the FCA anti-p2p hype and regulations, I decided recently to move much of my account to a 'safer' platform - despite never having had a loss here so far. As a result I have had to use this platform for necessary cash, and really wish I had left more here in early 2020.

I have been following with a mixture of amusement and disbelief the forum posts about your 'safer' platform. I had looked at it a few times over the years but decided against, for some reason I always got a mental image of a strutting peacock when I read the bosses posts. I fancy it will end fairly well eventually. And they said I couldn't do empathy.
