We've added M&Gs 6.25% coupon Senior Unsecured Bonds to the WiseAlpha market. At a price of 87, these bonds yield 7.2% to an October 2068 maturity. At their February 2020 peak prior to Covid-19, they had traded at over 130. For those looking for steady, long-term income this may well be appealing. 1: M&G’s has roots stretching back more than 170 years. The company offers pension funds, asset management, and financial advisory services to individuals, institutional clients, and professional investors. 2: M&G was the first to introduce the mutual fund to the UK in 1931. The company serves customers in more than 28 countries 3: Assets under management and administration increased to £352 billion in 2019 while adjusted operating profit before tax was £1,149 million. Total capital generation was £1,509 million and shareholder Solvency II coverage ratio of 176% in 2019 4: Despite Covid-19 management stated in a recent update that their balance sheet continues to be resilient 5: The bonds enjoy A2 and BBB+ Investment Grade credit ratings from Moody's & S&P, respectively 6: M&G PLC is listed on the London Stock Exchange with a market cap of £3.9bn (as at 25.03.20)

Oct 2068. Cripes knowing I will not be alive when this one matures is food for thought. Good company, looks solid at 7.2%. IMO stuff like this is rich pickings for income investors right now. Dividends are being cut left , right and centre and cash savings will be devalued for a very very long time.

Agreed never a dull day right now! Treetophugger, where do you get access to the reports from the companies listed on WA? Do you have a one stop shop? I maintain that the bond market is the place to be right now. Many companies dividend yields will continue to be slashed or non existent for a while (had 4 companies I invest in cancel their divis just today) so income investors should be looking where coupon payments will continue to be paid. Are you keeping an eye on the ORB market?. There are some opportunities popping up there: LSE ORBATM got my eye on HSBC, Aviva, Ladbrokes, Teco and GE. The only issue is spreads are large in this market so quite hard to get the right price, but doable. Regards

Thanks for some of your modus operandi treetophugger. Some interesting things to think about there.
