Is it wrong to want some Lloyds just so I can buy a top hat and monocle and say "wot wot" a lot?
I have always been a little scared of these 50 year long bonds. Bought a little M&G but I am looking into Bupa at the min.
Not sure if these are actually coming to the platform or if they are going to be asking us to register interest.

According to the email they sent out yesterday, those bonds are indeed coming to the platform on Monday.
Can't wait. I would love to receive a regular payment from Goldman Sachs, I could almost pretend I was an employee!

I am currently doing the 10KSB sponsored by Goldman. I know they don't have the best reputation, but they have spent a lot of money helping me build and grow my business.

The length of those bonds are ridiculous. Surely the bonds will last longer than the platform. And what are the selling charges if sold within 2 years ?

True, but not as long as the perpetual bonds which , eeerrrrr, could go on in perpetuity. Having said that I have always found the secondary market fairly liquid, but as many have learnt elsewhere, this can never be guaranteed.

The fee to sell notes on the secondary market is 0.25% of the current value of the bond. The fee is charged when the bond sells, which is only when someone else wants to buy it off you. It is also worth noting that there is currently no way of selling your bonds at a discount to get them to move faster.

The Legal and General one has had a little price bump.
They are clearly doing a bunch with Robowise at the moment as all sorts of bonds are popping back up as available and then vanishing again. Assuming they need to rebalance everyones portfolios to take into account the new notes.
Did everyone also note that they didn't buy their normal £100k in each bond. Combo £100k, £50k and the Goldman is only £25k

Yes, I guess raising finance must be a bit trickier in the present environment but it is great to see a fresh set of new bonds on the market. Investment grade BBB or better. As I have said before when normality resumes yields will be far far lower on these bonds. My only concern is the sum total of these 5 bonds is equal to the total of Eros International alone.

Standard Chartered also added to the main market today - not trading yet.
Note also: EDF has been moved from the Perpetuals to the main market. The Pension Insurance Corporation has been moved across from the High Yield market.

I saw that Garfield.
The Bupa note also went to the perpetual for awhile but then went back to the normal market
