Received a one-click invitation email today for the Lending Crowd Customer Self Service Portal. A bit sceptical at first as there is no information with the email and nothing mentioned on their site in relation to this portal.
I sgned up using an obscure password (just in case), and although there is very little info on the site yet (no knowledgebase) I did at least find my old support tickets going back about a year to put my mind at rest.
Very suprised they didn't offer any prelimenary information regarding this on the email, especially with so many scammers out there, it really was hard to tell whether the invite was real or not.
So don't really know whether this is a new portal for us to access, or whether I just happen to get an invite today..

Neither wife or I as LC lenders have received anything through like this. Sounds fishy to me, why would you need to sign up separately, and why the need for this at all? It's probably fine, but perhaps continue to tread carefully until it's definitely proven genuine.. edit: Especially because they had a data breach recently, so it's quite conceivable a scammer could have some otherwise reassuring personal information of yours. Tagging lendingcrowd in case they're about.

Yes I would be careful with that until we have more information. I have not received any email from them about it. Give them a call...?

The site didn't ask for any information, e.g. Lending Crowd site Login & Password, just to create a new password for this site, and I was able to see my previous support tickets. So as much as it looks very scam like, I think it should be alright, but I will ring them to clarify.

So as much as it looks very scam like, I think it should be alright, but I will ring them to clarify. Oh-k good plan. If it's genuine though, why would LC be introducing "community forums" at this point in time? That would seem a disastrous move to me. Plus there's no mention of it on their website, and you can access their knowledge base from the existing site. Also note the missing "the" in "you can access knowledge base". A missing 'the' is sometimes a sign that English isn't someone's first language. Of course it could quite easily just be a genuine error too. I'm still somewhat suspicious, myself. edit: the more I think about this, the more suspicious I am. Why would they, at this particular point in time especially, go to the lengths of creating an online 'request tracking' facility? Something that, as far as I'm aware, no other P2P lender has done (largely because it would be creating work for work's sake for them). And again, even if this were all true, why would it be under a different login? That's possibly the most suspicious thing. Not saying I'm 100% sure, but I think it's more likely than not a scam.

I have not received an email so am rather in the dark here. I don't quite understand what this new thing is? Is it just a way of tracking IT support tickets?

Following on from our previous response, our team have identified a configuration error on our Helpdesk system as a result of rolling out new processes for increased home working at this time, which triggered this email to be sent. Web access to this Helpdesk system is no longer available. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. The LendingCrowd Team.

Ahh, that makes a lot more sense to me, as, although it looked like a potential scam, it didn't feel like a scam, if that has any logic.. Thanks for letting me know, and I can confirm I have received an email that my user profile has been deactivated from the customer support portal. I have to say though, I do like the idea of the customer portal, to be able to see a history of my support tickets and their outcomes, and to easiily be able to interact from there, so I hope you are able to progress with your idea.
