If NS&I began offering index-linked certificates to new investors I would bite their hands off - if only I could get my money out of P2P first!

I probably would too, and yet sods law we would end up in deflationary period and end up with glorious -2% returns year on year. I've seen arguments both way re: what this situation will do to inflation. Either prices collapsing due to the economic recession, or spiralling due to Government stimulus and money-printing. I don't think anyone has a clue. Still, I suppose whatever happens they'd be a good hedge against the worst scenarios.

If anyone is considering a change of lifestyle and becoming a pub card sharp, 5 card brag rules;
Same rules as 3 card, you just throw away 2 of the hand dealt.
Before there was poker, and the USA, there was brag. It's almost a patriotic duty to play it for Queen and Country!
