Must admit I failed to do this level of due diligence having fallen at the first hurdle. From memory aren't you from thereabouts? I'm going to guess that you're probably not an NHS worker though. They should let you have it anyway, for services in promoting this fine account! You're right - I qualify geographically (even though I am not in Wales!), I fail to qualify professionally. Nor would I bother - especially given it's variable-rate, with no guaranteed minimum time before they drop it back from the headline "mediocre" to the more usual "risible"... Their normal "web saver" scales the heady heights of 0.25%... You should just put it all in Tesla, Nikola or Bitcoin. I'm reliably informed by everyone on Reddit that they only ever go up.

article on the best cash savings rates available from Thisismoney: "Among the best accounts is Principality BS Thank You Saver at 1.65 per cent" and continues " but only NHS workers who live in the society's defined area in Wales can open the account" Not even just Wales, but a "defined area" in Wales. Even if you do happen to be that very special mix of an NHS worker in the defined part of Wales with time on their hands to piss about opening regular savers, then you're still only able to put in £250 a month. I think at this stage, even I might buy some premium bonds. Oooh good. Ask nicely and we might even let you join our monthly support group

Oooh good. Ask nicely and we might even let you join our monthly support group Amazing how times change isn't it. I have a 1 year old £34k fixed rate saver at 1.8% that has just paid me annual interest of £612 which I was quite pathetically delighted to receive in its full bounty. Yet I'm pretty sure I was on here complaining about 1 year fixed rate savers now being sub-2% about a year ago.

You had me panic then. I sold NKLA at $72 and they are $20 today, phew!

I think we've just hit the stage of this bubbly madness where things go up just because their price per share is low, so perhaps Nikola is heading up now that it's 'cheap'. I'm not even joking, I'll be damned if I can find it now, but I saw an article yesterday saying that the top performing shares are now <$1, then $1<x<$2 and so on.. PS - confess I hadn't looked into Nikola, but now you say it, yes I think they had some controversy over faking their vehicles didn't they. Someone did actually tell me to buy it on reddit yesterday though, this is true :-)

When I was a kid I used to play with a die.
When I was an adult I taught quality systems for a time, the most fun was letting a random number generator stimulate engineers into developing more a more complex theories about how a secret process worked Now....
this sounds like how Fund ourselves/welendus operates.

Little stuff. :-)

On the topic of Random Numbers.
I've run Raffles many times over the years, now they should produce a random selection of numbers, but it's noticeable how many prizes will go to the middle section of the list, if the sellers walk around a room full of tables with 6-8 people on each selling tickets in sequence, it is amazing how often most of the prizes will fall in a cluster of 3-4 tables.

We've been to functions where the same high-rollers will empty their wallets on raffle tickets. Piled high, their half-inch thick ticket mountain dwarfing our measly one or two strips languishing there in front of us. Somehow, their tables always win big. I liken it to willy waving though. 😁

Sad isn't it . Its come to this , that we are waiting (avidly?) for Premium Bond results. February 2021 premium bond prize winners This month, the two £1m prizes went to premium bond holders in Inner London and North Yorkshire. The Inner London winner is a man who purchased his winning bond (398WP403111) in June 2020. He has a total of £50,000 invested in premium bonds. The second winner is a man from North Yorkshire. His winning bond (304HM348661) was bought in June 2017 as part of an overall holding of £50,000.
