4 x £25 from a holding of £44k. One was from a block of £5k the other 3 were all from reinvested previous £25 wins. This "proves" (from a sample of 4) that reinvested winnings have a greater chance of success than those simply bought. does that mean if you reinvest the winning from reinvested winnings then you are almost certain to win

Sadly, no. I was just poking fun at people who draw erroneous conclusions from inadequate data sets.

£25 me . 1/2 £50 £100,000 invested. hmm. Sounds about right. Premium Bonds currently return 1% interest into the prize fund. 1% of £100k is £1000 per annum or £83 per month. Deduct the minute number of large 6- and 7-figure prizes which most of us will never win and your personal share-out is likely to be nearer 0.9% of the overall prize pot. I work on receiving 0.9% currently. 0.9% of your £100k works out as £75 per month, so you're bang on. With interest rates steadily increasing now, NS&I will have to put their rates back up soon or lose customers. It's dead easy to get a safe 2% fixed for a year now, twice what Premium Bonds are offering. They were quick enough to reduce their rates before the dip, so let's see them go up again please, or I'll be voting with my feet.

I reinvest my'winnings' , average £25 to £50 a month in Loan pad. I know it's not very professional but I get a sad kick out of very slightly increasing my returns.

Mrs aju £25 and me £25.
Probably should start thinking about moving funds to better options but am still holding fire for some more increases in rates. Besides this time next month we'll be millionaires Rodders!
With any luck on Thursday Mrs aju should pickup a decent RPI increase in her meager pension but every little helps.

The odds of each £1 Premium Bond number winning a prize will improve from 34,500 to one to 24,500 to one.
Don't think I'll be holding my breath

Don't know why I bother looking at the high prize list every month. Struggling to find a winning number from Devon, let alone one from my street.
Interestingly, 50% of the big prizes for june (£100k and up) were won by people with less that £50k invested.

£25 this month. That's not going to last long on a bank holiday weekend.
So much for the increased prize fund.

And it's a year of winning nothing here off £10K invested.

Best month ever. A single bond won £500. Initially thought it was jubilee related but apparently not.
It was a new bond hat I had bought in April rather than any of the ones I have had a while, which is perhaps encouraging me to buy into the recycling myth.
So I am not allowed to complain if I don't win again for the next year...

£25 for me and £50 for 1/2. Same as last month on a full wack invested . Well done Starfished, £500 winner !
(once, about 3 years ago 1/2 won £1000 and £500 in the same month. Staggering considering the normal performance)
