Monthly odds of winning from £1 to go from 24,500 to 1 to 24,000 to 1 - I can hardly contain the excitement.
Wouldn't it be better for the government to raise the £50k limit to get more money in, rather than paying over 4% to get people to take up government bonds.

Having looked a bit closer:
- monthly prize fund increases from £139m to £218m
- number of £50 and £100 prizes increases from 38,000 to 729,000
- underlying rate is now 2.2%
- number of prizes stays about the same. Just less at £25 and a lot more £50 and £100.

So, the chance of winning has improved very slightly, but if you do win the chance of it being more than £25 has increased from 1 in 55.4 to 1 in 3.4.

- 3 or 4 x £100
- 3 or 4 x £50
- 17 or 18 x £25
So about £960 annually

Mmm.... well, as in almost all facets of my life, I appear yet again to be somewhat below average
