I've been out of premium bonds for a while and wasn't expecting this 1st month.
£175 for 10k , 21% XIRR.

My lingering smugness after a £5k windfall a few months back is now fully dispelled with just £150 this month (£35k). That each month would still give 5% annual however, so good enough I guess....

£50 on £50k.
Not to worry, my Vanguard LS100 has gone up over 20% in the last year.

Mrs Aju's full amount gave £150 this month.
£0 for Me on £2225 invested.
The amounts received were £100 & £50 from 11,000 and 20,000 blocks respectively.
I missed the fact it was NS&I day until Mrs AJU was curious this morning - my excuse is one of my CC's was compromised and spent a lot of time rebuilding our payments info for the new cards Still got to activate the cards so rearranged our primary spending card. In addition to this our house insurance renewal went from £240 to almost £1800!. It seems that the Coop did not want to play any reduction games or worse even explain the huge difference (Yes i am aware of the difference reasons thanks to the Blue party shenanigans etc). Took a couple of days to find a cheaper alternative (£236) with the Post Office (silver plus) so it was Coop's loss.

Wow that's a good result to come home to.... Its always great to come home on a high after a well earned break. I must look into putting more into my PB's but we have most of ours in good rates with VM at present. Not sure that's going to be that good when they mature next year.

I use Premium Bonds a bit. You need at least £10,000 in the account to stand a chance of making the average rate of return over a year. Money Saving Expert have a useful analysis of the probabilities. The main advantage is that it's tax free.
