Cynergy Bank is currently offering a FSCS-protected 2-year bond at 2.88%. That only leaves a LP Premium rate headroom of 1.12%. I'd think the platform risk alone is worth 1.12% — does anyone agree? Annualized risk of 0.598%? I don't understand you're calculation of "Annualised Risk". I agree that LP rates need to rise soo, but they are still attracting net inflows of cash each day (with the odd daily exception), so as a business they don't need to lift them yet. You also need to take the tie-in length into account. 2 years at CB compared with 60 days at LP (30 days average if you use the rolling withdrawal technique).

Thanks for your input Ace. You make some valid points as ever, particularly relating to the tie in periods. Regards

I agree that rates should be rising, but I am trapped until I get my bonus next December. I guess I'm not the only one.

Am I safe to submit a premium account withdraw request 59 days before my bonus due payout date ? I certainly hope so.

I would expect so. I've found LP to be one of the best at paying promised cashbacks on the due dates. Even so, if it were me, I'd probably allow an extra couple of days in case of misunderstandings. You could cancel the withdrawal request if the bonus isn't paid on time.

My wife received her bonus 5 days later than expected.

Premium accounts will be paying 4.2% from 1st August. It's a move in the right direction. But the rates were slashed from 5% so should go back up to what they were, at the least.

Although higher rates are welcome I am quite content with Loanpad if it means they are a profitable and secure p2p platform, I feel safer with Loanpad than any other p2p I am with.
