Anyone get any interest payments today? Not a penny for me which is odd, especially on the last working day of the month when they usually flood in.

No payments for me today, despite 5 of my MLA loans showing today as the Next Payment date.

NADA, and my cleared cash withdrawal from yesterday wasn't processed either :-( I had a cash withdrawal processed yesterday. It was initiated in the early hours, roughly 00:30 and was in my destination account by mid-afternoon.

The interest payments on my Access Accounts paid out on 1 May @ 18.46 last month, so we'll hopefully see something later today
Edit: I asked AC via Livechat me: Will the Access Accounts (e.g. 90DAA) be paying any interest for May 2020, as there are no interest payments showing on my account? AC: yes they will. Its just not guaranteed to be paid first thing on the 1st of each month. It should be paid at some point today

Zilch I thought Britain is virtually getting back to "normal" Seriously? The virus hasn't gone away. It hasn't weakened. We don't have a vaccine, or any effective treatment. Sure, we probably will, sometime, but not yet. We are not within a million miles of "normal", however much many people might wish it to be so.

There will probably never be a normal again, just a new normal. Let's keep the virus in perspective though. It hasn't killed 500k or even the 250k as originally modelled when the press scared us all to death. It's killed 0.05% of pop, & more specifically those already vulnerable to any illness. One third of deaths have been the obese with type 2 diabetes. There's been very little reporting of the thousands who contracted Covid & made a full recovery after experiencing nothing more than mild flu like symptoms. The next few months will be key to determining just how new our normal will be.

The next few months will be key to determining just how new our normal will be. Rather more than 0.05%, but let's not quibble. Raising the 500k and 250k figures from when "the press scared us all to death" reminds me of the oft repeated fallacy that the Millennium Bug was all a big hoax because nothing really bad happened on 1/1/2000. The reason not much bad happened is that a huge amount of work was done to stop it - and by the same token, if we hadn't shut down the economy then the total of deaths by now would almost certainly have exceeded 250k by now, although of course we'll never know. Unless, of course, we unlock prematurely and head straight into a second wave, in which case we just might find out. Still, I will agree with your first and last points: the new normal will be somewhat different, and in due course we will see what that is. Returning to the point under discussion ... whatever kind of normality is coming, it's certainly not here yet, and the impact on all our investments will continue for some time.
