Does anyone know where the discount part of releasing your investment early will go? Essentially it's profit to Assetz Capital, though I'm hoping it will go to help strengthen the platform into the Provision Fund?

It goes to the person who 'bought' it, not Assetz. Same as the FC 'transfer fee'.

Ahh I've totally misunderstood the feature obviously. I thought AC would be setting a discount rate to liquidate early.
I wonder if there are really going to be many people wanting to buy other's investment right now. I can see the feature working once things have returned to normal, but most investors probably want access to their own money let alone buying someone elses share. Could be underestimating it though.

All depends on the rates on offer. I would certainly be a buyer at the right price ... whatever that is! Expect to see the "going rate" discount fluctuate somewhat in the early days/weeks as the imbalance between buyers and sellers sorts itself out.
