The SEISS gnaws at me, a bit. There are lots of articles about saying, as in this case quite literally "check your eligibility online and cash in!" and that you'll be missing out if you don't. Thing is, there will be plenty of people like my wife - who received notification early on that she is indeed eligible - who's good fortune has had it that her profits have been unaffected, slightly higher than usual in fact. Yet, the press keep pestering on and, as I say, it gnaws somewhat because we keep on being encouraged by the media because "she's eligible" Well, actually, no she's not. Her profits have not been materially affected and so it would technically be fraud. This said, whilst we're doing the right thing (probably) one can't help feel like a sucker for not claiming the free cash because of the press and because of the inevitable mountains of people who feel no such qualms in pushing or breaking boundaries. Plus, claim it or not, we're all going to pay for it together with higher taxes in future. Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest. Anyone else in the same (admittedly again, still fortunate) boat? Or does someone want to convince me we should claim it? I'm all ears
