If anyone is interested I took readings on the QIF @ 1.07am this morning and checked it again just now 12:48 and it seems there was movement of 1 in old products and 4 in Access. I'm way back at the higher end of all the queues and since RS only seems to RYI on business days then all these are closures manual or as a result of loans closing etc.
Not that useful but I'm guessing someone might have an alternate view. (I'm pretty certain the QIF Collector tool is running every day and therefore picks up all positional movements whatever causes them.)

Seems my original theory was correct, then! Huzzah! My guess is: the RYI processing is manual and only happens on working days (I think we already knew this part); but the queue position update happens automatically once per day. So, in theory, you shouldn't see any updates at the weekend because no RYI releases will have been processed (even though an automatic update still happens the number should be the same). But mine did go down by 1 overnight last night, so I guess where cancellations happen, we might still see queue position 'updates' at the weekend?

No movement in Access at all for me this weekend so those must be cancellations.

Encouraged to see this when combined with the amount of money that seemed to be matched in A/P/M yesterday (see my post in the other thread).
Also not surprised at all that we’re seeing fluctuation like this. Was always silly for people to be getting so upset over a few days of (lack of) movement.

I'm guessing you're much further back and that the difference will be a lot of cancellations? OTOH, a big jump forward in my 5Y queue today (>100).

Okay this doesn't make sense. abrown is right at the front and also said 19 places in post above. I actually moved 18 places (269 -> 251), but thought maybe others had just miscounted so didn't mention it. But... if you only moved four places... what's going on??? Are you 100% on this? (just to be sure) (Edit: And johnt is well ahead of you in the queue - see the tracker thread)

Aye, all a bit odd. My Access queue in the 7,000 region moved 9 places overnight. But in my other queues (another Access, and 2 x Max queues, all around the 11,000 - 13,000 mark), only moved 2 places. Curious..

It may be a total coincidence, but I note that the 19 is the total number of places I have moved in the queue over the last five days, a time when those at the front were apparently seeing nothing. We had, I think, put the difference down to cancellations but perhaps there is something else going on?

We had, I think, put the difference down to cancellations but perhaps there is something else going on? This is exactly what I was also thinking - perhaps the apparent lack of movement high up in the queue last week, in fact, was just some error in the system which RS is now remedying? As I've posted before, the number of (full) cancellations we've apparently been seeing every day has really surprised me. Perhaps indeed they weren't cancellations after all.

My Access only moved 2 places overnight (12,155 to 12,153, Monday night to Tuesday morning).
My 5 year moved 103 places (563 to 460, Monday night to Tuesday morning).
Not sure why these movements don't agree with others, but the wider picture for me is: I'll soon be out of 5 year but have no chance of ever getting to the front of the RYI Access queue.

My Access moved 11 places (8165 to 8154, Monday night to Tuesday morning). My Max moved 10 places (8823 to 8813, Monday night to Tuesday morning).
The difference in our access places is a bit odd, especially given that you are further out than I am.
