So over the last nine months I've managed to reduce my P2P exposure by two-thirds. I've now got spare funds looking for a home.
Something better than 1% from NS&I or banks, but with some assurance of liquidity and access when required.
I've already got the spectrum of Cash, Regular Savers, Bonds, Funds, Shares and Commodities. Just want to earn ~4% (i.e. Beat inflation) for up to a year.
Any suggestions for alternatives rather than just adding to existing Bond funds?

It's a good question, but right now, I don't think there are any good answers. I don't think there is any way to put away money for no risk other than bank accounts and NS&I, and the best you can do there is around 1% or so. Anything with higher returns also comes with risk in one form or another.
I'm saving up a chunk of cash to refinance my mortgage, which I'm holding in bank accounts (fixed-term deposits) and in NS&I. My other lower-risk investments are in ETFs and funds in Euro government bonds, and global government and corporate bonds hedged to GBP. None of those are providing high returns, though.

Given that most countries central banks are holding interest rates at close to 0 for a bunch of reasons, and you want liquidity and low risk I can suggest nothing special
Effectively capital is valueless at the moment. So to earn an income you need to either except the govs NS$I 1.15% or take risk.
Of course, once you accept risk and imperfect liquidity there are loads of opportunities. I'd look at Baillie Gifford Global Fund and soak up 20% every year.

Yep, guess I max out the NS&I Premium Bonds and keep my fingers crossed !
That's hopefully 1.4% tax-free or better, compared to less than 0.5% post tax from savings accounts.
Then just keep topping up the Global Bond fund for a low risk single digit return.

It can be done. To find out the secret you need to capture one of those pigs flying by and it's tattooed on its back.

I've liberated about 85% of my P2P funds since March and have the same question - but I haven't found an answer.
