TBH, I haven’t done any RYIs in all markets since April.

coogaruk you might want to change the thread title (or given your reputation start another ten) I have decided to take the credit for the RS change of position. I have several accounts and did a RYI on them when the change was announced, then sent an email asking how if it was cancelled and I suffered loss as a consequence that was justified. Clearly there is no sensible answer to that. I suspect practicality and avoidance of regulatory problems upstream made it the right decision for them to do a U turn. It is highly likely I was not alone in contacting them with a similar question, some we win......... most we lose.

I suspect they haven't had the reaction they wanted with people pushing money to 1 year
Still I am almost out now, bar the wind down of small loans, bit late for a change of course that boat has sailed for me
RS seem to flip and turn as often as Trump, and recently have become about as convincing

I also did RYIs on 5yr within 24 hours of September's announcement, more as a hedge really in preparedness for 14th October. The thought had also crossed my mind that if my RYIs were then cancelled by RS I would be entitled to raise a complaint on the basis of having been unable to act upon their intentions within the 30 day notice timeframe. I didn't bother emailing them about it though.
