It also begs (frankly very tired) questions about accountants and auditors.

Lendy Ltd (In administration) instructed their solicitors Pinsent Masons LLP to commence proceedings against three banking institutions. No information about this claim is available at the moment. This is the claim headline:
IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUSTICE BUSINESS AND PROPERTY COURTS OF ENGLAND AND WALES
Claim No: BL-2020-000953
BETWEEN: (1) LENDY LTD (IN ADMINISTRATION) Claimant
-and-
(1) Bank of Scotland PLC (2) HSBC UK BANK PLC (3) Prepaid Financial Services Limited Defendants
The claimant is represented by Pinsent Masons LLP
So pleased to see these court cases being established. Would this one deserve a separate thread?

jane Lendy Ltd will be paying the legal fees which in turn will initially reduce the amount available for distribution to creditors.
I'm not sure what the claimants are asking the court to do - it might be a claim for damages or a claim for disclosure of documents. Complete speculation at this point.

Interesting choice of solicitors. Stephen Ryde-Weller, formerly with Versiona Law, was historically involved in certifying various Lendy's documents. He is now with Isadore Goldman.

Thanks. I have read this and was a bit slow on the uptake this time. Is this case an appeal against the order?

I understand Liam Brooke (and company) denies "each and every allegation contained in the particulars of claim". Further info will follow

I understand Liam Brook (and company) denies "each and every allegation contained in the particulars of claim". Further info will follow That would seem reasonable, assuming he is being accused of being 'an all round good chap' and 'much loved by former investors'.
