By a landslide! Judd that is, beating Stuart Bingham by 4 frames to 0. He gets the chance to win again this evening

Does anyone else feel that the current situation with Trump might escalate? Whilst it's easy/tempting just to poke fun at how idiotic the whole situation is, I do also find it genuinely scary. Aside from the despicable amorality of Trump himself, what I think is especially troubling is how many elected Republicans are still willing to support or at least tolerate what he's doing. He clearly still wields power over them, and is also quite happy to fire his officials until they give him the answer he wants. You also have stories like some election certifiers initially not certifying the result, then only doing so under pressure. Then there's the public. A majority of Republicans seem to genuinely believe him. It's also probably fair to say that many of these supporters especially prize their right to own a variety of guns. I don't know. It'll probably be ok. Yet it makes me distinctly uncomfortable at how long he's managed to spin this out for already, and what the tolerance of his behaviour thus far might mean for the future.

r00lish67 - I don't know. I wonder if some of the it'll be ok attitude is because many (most?) people feared the violence would be much much worse following the election. Perhaps it wasn't because the result was a "Landslide, blowout, historic". An important development overnight was the third in line of succession to the US President (President pro tem. of the US Senate) tested positive... he's 87:
