I have avoided investing in this one, largely due to the insights gained here. Thanks.

Seems to be going much more slowly than other recent launches, although it's a sizeable loan. Reassuring in a way: CrowdProperty does encourage us to do our own due diligence after all! Yes - 94% full at the time of posting. I opted for a small amount in Autolend and got 100% which has never happened (for me) before. it will be interesting to see how this one works out.

It's good to hear that the warnings had an effect on the autolend as well, there must be a lot of CP investors in this forum. I'm expecting the %FULL rate to drop down a few times as others get wind and ask CP to withdraw their pledge. CP know what they are doing , but they should have washed their hands of it, they don't need it, sends out the wrong message, bad for business, more downside than upside potential.

I agree, even if CP believe that they can see it through this time, I don't think the borrower's previous shenanegins and subsequent losses inflicted on previous investors warrants opening the door to them. Disappointing from CP, I clearly need to watch them more closely than I have been.

You could argue that it's a feather in CP's cap if they make it work.
But to me it's a reminder that P2P isn't just about a straight balancing of risk and reward to make money.
There's also – or there should be – a moral element to investment; on the face of it picking up someone else's loan after P2P investors had been shafted fails that test.

"abergele" loan < 1 week using duckduckgo returns this thread in the first page.
The same search in the mighty Google and pages and pages of links nothing to do with loans! You need to tell it what site to search... They are coming to get you Google.

Well, this one is certainly taking longer to fill than any other CP loan I've seen of late. My loyalties are sorely divided on this one. On the one hand I think CP are a class act and I want to see them succeed as its good to have a trustworthy place to invest. On the other hand I want to show solidarity with my fellow P2Pers and not support a borrower that has lost many of them money. I suspect the project will end up a success, as CP will do a much better job of monitoring the project than FS did and will takeover if needed. I would have invested if CP had managed to convince me that the borrower was a blameless victim in the FS disaster, but their statements just didn't seem to quite add up. A shame really, as it probably comes down to incomplete information. Totally agree with the above, is it possible to stop a pledge?

Yes, you can withdraw a pledge up to 24 hours after pledging.

I suspect the dilemma for CP is that people have got used to loans filling quickly so there may well be nobody left to provide the extra 5% (cancellations may be high as well, it not filling may cause some to look a bit closer than usual). Presumably they need to do something before the next loan launches on Thursday or autobid may get confusing if new funds are added (might just be a problem for me, that one).
