How come SS didn't mention the price in the update? Sure they must know. I'm not familiar with the process but is it possible that SS not know the price as soon as offer has been agreed?

It's clear that the sale price will be less than the loan amount and they do t want a flurry of questions re a PF payout. Before deciding what the PF will cover (interest?) they will have to check what's on TV and the phase of the moon 😆

Hopefully it be enough to nearly cover capital but I doubt it.

Ha!
And here I was, naively, thinking that all the different scenarios had already been analysed and a decision (per scenario) already made.
Simply delaying the inevitable, I wonder whether SS succeeded in delaying flurry of questions or simply increased number of questions heading their way:P

Hopefully it be enough to nearly cover capital but I doubt it. I'm afraid not The last advertised price was £1.5m, and SS noted that offers where being received between £1.2m and £1.5m. A long way short of the £1.7m loan...

Although under the old terms, what happens here sets a precedent for future defaults and IMHO determines the future of SS which relies on investor confidence.

I'm sure all the observations and questions have been made. The best thing we can do now is to wait for the news I wonder how they will repay a % of my 1p... The largest discontent I have with this loan is that the loan transpired to be 100% LTPV ...

As in already have an answer ready of how they will treat this so that they don't have to buy time to figure out what they will do before announcing the price Haha please do keep us updated. Hopefully they round up

However they might need to check with Mr D. Trump.

Can't find the post now but we haven't forgot savingstream.

Yes I remember it - but I also note the light tone that these words were included in.

Although under the old terms, what happens here sets a precedent for future defaults and IMHO determines the future of SS which relies on investor confidence. Is it a 'good' thing that SS has no defaults (****in edit - that have led to investor losses*****? Is that not feeding the frenzy that sucks people in thinking this is a safe high interest instant access account? If investor confidence is based on zero defaults then investors are being naive/misled. Surely with so many negative loans coming to a head investors could and should take a modest haircut - SS cannot and should not perpetuate what is ineviitable on any mature platform - defaults (and losses)!
