Whilst Parliament has now gone into recess this doesn't mean this campaign is taking a holiday. Behind the scenes we are still researching documents and writing letters on a daily basis, we need to keep the pressure up if we are to see a meaningful return of our money. With the FCA promising an update by the first of September (4.5 weeks away), possible criminal charges and hundreds of outstanding complaints we are reaching crunch time. What I have found rather disconcerting is that the 'worthless' MPs response that I first referred to back on the 6th of May is still in circulation. I have been sent two copies of it in the last two days. Do some MPs really treat their constituents that way? ...... obviously they do. Needless to say a suitable response is available by PM. On the positive side, the Treasury Committee is very aware of the issues with Col. Certain MPs who do not sit on the Committee are also applying a lot of pressure. As you will know MPs can only act for their constituents so many thanks to the members of this forum who have been very active with their MPs, without your help this campaign would be struggling. Another topic 'press coverage'. In the early days we managed to have several articles printed about the FCAs failures in the national press. Whilst we would like to see more open coverage of Col this just isn't possible at present. Whilst charges haven't been raised (yet) this possibility rules out coverage, the actions of the Directors of Col and the FCA are so intertwined. One day this will all come out, hopefully in an independent review. One further point, there are to the best of my knowledge many of you who sent the initial letter to your MP but are yet to receive a response. If this is you, drop me a PM. Various strategies have been formulated to help but for obvious reasons I am not going to post them openly. We need to keep this campaign running right through to September to keep the pressure up, anything you can do now will be valuable. If in doubt just PM me. Remember this campaign is to get your money back to you.

Yes of interest. This article results from FCA00939 (the Complaints Commissioner) and the subsequent response by the FCA which read I monitor the FRCC's rulings daily and read every one, this one was issued on the 7th. There have been several cases wrt foreign companies and the FCAs register, remember the FCA had to remove 1,100 old foreign entries a few years ago. This particular complaint has sparked another workstream behind the scenes. As mentioned in posts previously 'causation' has always been a topic of interest.

Sorry duck , wasn't trying to teach you to... suck eggs . Absolutely not there will always be something that will be missed. Whilst I had read the ruling and the FCA response I hadn't seen the article, so thanks! Now that I have posted the link to the FRCCs ruling I think it would be valuable for Col investors to have a read of it. This shows what we are up against ..... but needless to say we have many other arguments than simply that we relied on an inaccurate register as was the case in this complaint.

I think somebody may have failed to join up the fairly obvious dots... "We are an independent public body funded entirely by the firms we regulate, by charging them fees. We are accountable to the Treasury, which is responsible for the UK’s financial system, and to Parliament". from www.fca.org.uk/about/the-fca
