I am sick to the back teeth (yes I still have some) of hearing the word “Super” . Nobody can just be pleased or happy or find something easy or difficult it must be “Super “ excited etc. Just watch any live program or YouTube video and everything is “Super” . Next time you hear it make a mental note of how many times it is said. So far I’ve got 15 in a 20min video. You observations would be interesting.

I am of course glad that you have not either fallen foul of or required the services of your moniker, I would expect that your last statement is a truism when considered in relative terms.

Every darn thing people like is "nice". Regrettably, most people's vocabulary is extremely limited and they restrict themselves to employing the same few hundred words their entire lives.

I spend a reasonable amount of time watching things (various) on youtube, and not a one of them ever uses, let alone over-uses, the word "super". I do see some random on the occasional streamer channel that over-use super / excited / blah but a) I don't watch a lot of it and b) I tune a lot of it out. Watch different stuff? Also, semi-seriously, stop growing older. I know I wish I could .

Every darn thing people like is "nice". Regrettably, most people's vocabulary is extremely limited and they restrict themselves to employing the same few hundred words their entire lives. I have just been too busy to pop in here. Time passes so quickly. Getting more and more Victor Meldrewesk . Stupid companies tryin to please the VERY few at the expense of the many ie. punishing the friendly announcer for greeting the “Ladies and Gents” and not including the tiny proportions of over sensitive and entitled confused individuals who at a genetic level have either XY,XX or very very rarely some other variant. ANY adjective we use to describe ourselves does not need to be mentioned to be accepted. The use of historical accepted greetings that meant to be just that a greeting that was always accepted as inclusive. I am sure there would be uproar if we started spending hours trying to mention over sensitive humans. Good Morning. Fatty, ugly, spotty, bauldy, hairy, smelly, shorty, good looking, etc etc. Unless expressly mentioned as not included then people should accept the ARE included no matter what their mental view of themselves as no matter what we think there is a definitive ultimate description that can always be applied when the person involved has no input ie. when unconscious or dead . This modern condition that nobody can be offended is crazy. I am sure Everyone has views that are offensive to others. There should be a right to offensive as it is to be complementary. Even now being complimentary is not allowed in the crazy HR world. I just think there is to much misery in the world to fixate on our own insecurities. Feel Free to be offensive it is your right. Just another observation the number of non white people in UK is less that 20% 6% Asian 3% black the rest from other In Scotland 4% are non white .. Now however advertisers are so scared of being labelled racist that nearly every advert no matter what has to have a non white person even though this is statistically incorrect. Let us all just get on without trying to exclude anyone but also not disproportionately represent minorities. I notice programs must now include a woman a non white person a LBGT(Q,A and whatever) a Vegan and a Climate change activist Crazy Crazy world no wonder children now confused and not just children but are riddled with ADHD, asthma, multiple allergies, fear of strangers, confused on gender, and colour afraid of social media exclusion , fear of climate change, micro plastics and a million different things. BRING ON THE AI REVOLUTION AND HAVE A HUGE PURGE. The earth needs a reset with either a huge pandemic of fast transmitting 80% deadly virus or nice asteroid hit or massive solar flare. Just my jaded view

My current pet hate is interviewees on radio (mostly) and TV (less so) starting their replies with "So". Some very highly-qualified people are guilty of it. I twitch irritably if the first reply starts with the word and become more irritated if the subsequent replies do as well.
Also twitch-provoking are the misuses of "decimate" and "criteria" (as a singular).

I completely agree. It's a little like when somebody starts a sentence "Look...". Especially a politician. What they're saying is "you don't understand". What I hear is "I'm about to at best patronise you, at worst lie to you".

Just my jaded view I hate the Just Eat adverts, the implication is that everyone is Black/Coloured/Brown ( whichever is the allowed term this week ). I think the BBC amongst others has a very metropolitan view that is heavily influenced by the view they have of the UK IE a large percentage are non white British because that's what they see in the cities. One thing that surprised me was we had out first Woman of colour elected to the Senedd, that in itself wasn't a surprise it was the fact she was a Conservative, I'd have expected Labour etc to be more diverse, not the supposedly backward Tories

I only hear "I'm about to lie/mislead/twist reality, and I will use 'look' to make it seem like what I'm going to say is obvious".

I also shudder when I hear "let me be quite clear" because I know for sure that it's about to be followed by a huge dollop of unadulterated GUFF

My pet hate is politician and others who say "if you'll let me finish" when an interviewer interrupts and tries to get them to answer the question asked rather than the question they want to answer.

You should just "reach out" to people who are"super nice", it really will be "awesome".
