Excuse me but two or three pages of this thread have suddenly gone missing ... why ? I'm guessing because of the 'fake' Admin Note posted on here.
While most of us got the irony and humour even behind it, some people might have taken it as gospel.

As a moderator on a completely different and unrelated forum (about woodwork!!), I have to allow for the sad fact that x % of forum readers are complete dummies and might be fooled by attempts at humourous but factually incorrect postings at times therefore everyone has to be treated as if they were dummies. Deleting just one post then makes a nonsense for subsequent posts and requotes so often it is best overall to delete a whole block of posts. However, I must admit I do leave a note saying "x posts have been removed by the mod team" and the deleted post are moved into storage in the event of a dispute. That storage is appropriately called woodworm. It's name keeps the mod team amused LW

even if it might have been a joke there was a truth in it that one can respond to
it looks like it was a believable fake which is bad enough

The funding for the second tranche is very weak, so why on earth does the first tranche borrower pay late.
Pure arrogance; the damage has been done & serves them right if it is a flop.

I must admit I was a bit cross when I last posted due to my very witty summary of events being deleted.
Have the mods any idea of how long it takes an oldie like me to type and spell check these posts ?
But for those who read criston's post must surely agree that as well as being very clever it was completely believable ... and that I'm sorry to say is the problem.

For the second time, out of three, while the second tranche is being slowly filled, with 3 days left to go, the borrower appears to be having difficulty meeting their payment obligations on time.
We do not want another AF situation here, so hopefully Ablrate will ensure this is not what it looks like, before handing over further funds.
Payment in the next few days may help the borrower, but it is still arrogance.

We currently have the rather bizarre reversal where the formally unloved second tranche (for that is what it is) is trading on 'the third party secondary market' for a decent mark up to par. Meanwhile the first tranche is hiding amongst the red dots and some 4 days late and not even worth mentioning apparently.

So the second tranche has been spent with no allowance made for meeting their obligations on time. Unlike some excuses, the clearing of a cheque has a fixed period before we know if we have been misinformed.

Unlike some excuses, the clearing of a cheque has a fixed period before we know if we have been misinformed. The degrees of separation between these and the car loans is only mildly opaque so it should not really surprise anybody who has joined the dots to speculate that the life support machine may be 'being shared' somewhat. I would assume 163 gets the first funds available on this pair so 172 may or may not get cleared at the same time. Ablrate moves in mysterious ways. Currently that seems to be mostly hiding under the duvet and hoping for the best,

Just moving this back into the public gaze. Now two payments missed and not a word from ablrate ,even a weak excuse would indicate that they are in contact about it.

I have more than that still paying interest.

I'm glad I've sold this one during the 'window of last opportunity'. The "existing loans" pages look very grey now... I was somewhat spoilt for choice for which one to highlight. Looking through the blue dots at which ones had any chance of making a payment in the next month is pretty depressing as a pass time. I don't expect a running commentary on them all, but an explanation of the problem seems the minimum we should be getting.
