Meandering slowly back towards the thread title........
I am very pleased to hear that Betty or the Queen as you may know her better will not be on her own over Christmas.
I was becoming somewhat concerned she would be. Well apart from a few dozen lackeys obviously.
The dark side of me always wants to beat the BBC royal reporters (grovelling suckups) to death with a jewel encrusted stick.

Despite ageing well, I think I would struggle to pass for a teenager these days. I have missed all the royal events having not seen any news for the last few days, but I would not like anything bad to happen to them. Admittedly mostly because we would never hear the end of it. No mention of it on Sky sports so far, so presumably not all that important.

If you threw two dice and rolled a double six, you probably wouldn't be overly shocked. The probability of doing so is ~3%. Selecting 30 people purely at random from a pool of 650 MPs containing 65 of ethnic origin, without selecting one of those ethnics, has probability ~4%. It's actually more likely than a random event that we don't find especially shocking.
