there is some interesting research that suggests that those who most fear alternative sexual life styles are also very attracted to those very life styles but live in cultures where such thoughts are considered wrong

(Preferably Mrs/Mr Dowdy in a comfort cashmere woolly)
Not have some painted bloke in a push up bra taking their minds of the read content .
Yeah , I'm really attracted to drag queens (not). bobo . Show off t*ssers.
However I'm quite happy with my grandson dressing up in my silkies because he loves the feel of them.
There's A BIG difference.

I'm not a big fan of Macron, but I do have some sympathy for his current predicament. All he asks is to raise the retirement age in France from 62 to 64 (very reasonable you might think) and half the country goes on strike. Rubbish piling up in the street due to bin men withdrawing their labour, I remember it well.

I've often thought that a tractor load of manure wouldn't come amiss outside Parliament. The Froggies are SO MUCH better at making their feelings felt than us ,and they have access to more cobble stones.

The 62-64 change doesn't come in until 2030, while for some companies like SNCF the change from 50-60 only comes in for new employees. ( So roughly 2055)

"Equality" issues are peripheral. Males are far more likely to be the perpetrators of violent and serious crime. It has been thus for many centuries. In particular, young males are far more likely to commit serious crimes/crimes of violence. These are the crimes we predominantly opt to punish with imprisonment. Testosterone and Alpha male considerations. Not only has that been the case for centuries - but it is universal around the world. Even in regime's with a particular disregard for womens rights, incarceration rates for females are much lower than for men, even if the rate of female incarceration is higher than western societies. Very difficult to square that with 'inequality' as the cause. There are of course some edge cases of females avoiding jail sentences because of having young children. But in the big picture, I suspect its impact is marginal. A rare occasion I agree with you and disagree with the Right Honourable Sir Ozyboy. You missed all the rape, and sexual crime including against children are almost exclusively men. I don't agree with Greenwood2 that they do it because it is "easier for them as they are bigger and stronger." problem is, your preamble and the numbers presented was entirely about incarceration rates by gender. You offered up the opinion that the reason for that was because females are treated far more leniently than men.....That is what is being commented on. Sorry, not falling for that one
