That's alright then. Can't think of any other reason why she didn't get it then . Unless she was the Ugly Sister.

The demise of England's cricket team earlier today was the earliest that any team has ever lost a 5 match series (just before lunch on day 3 of the third test).
But on a lighter note, it was shown exclusively on BT sport, so I never got to see it.

Unfortunately I did. Definitely wasn't amused.

Highlights on iPlayer or lowlights.

As I occasionally point out on here, possessing Dual Nationality, it's a Win for me whichever way it goes ..................... However, Dear Fellow Forumites, see if you're getting value from your mind reading lessons, do you think I am more happy with a Kangaroo Win??

I don't know much about this but if you think you were overlooked for the post because of your race I would hope for some information about why you were the better candidate, not just it was racist. Likewise I know nothing about the other candidates.

what the ****** ? Some rogue programmer involved ? Or the first signs of Skynet emerging from the dark interior of Amazon ? By the way, I want to know what Amazon delivered to satisfy your request ? A 1 litre bottle of the black stuff and a pipette to dispense it with, plus a bag of dandelion seeds ? Or something more interesting ?

Yes, us white people are so oppressed, so deprived. Actually I was deprived, based purely on the colour of my skin. Promotions in my workplace (Civil Service) were always based on merit. If you had a string of good annual appraisals, a promotion panel might pick you up and call you for interview. You could apply, but it went through a sift process where your application for interview was quite likely to fail. Then came a time when they discriminated against white people like me. My ethnic colleagues were told they could apply and they would be guaranteed an interview, whatever their appraisal history. Promotion on merit was no longer the yardstick. Yes, as a victim who was annually discriminated against because of the colour of my skin, I can tell you it feels sickening. Exactly the same started to happen in Local Government 20 years ago, the government wanted stats on what percentage of staff / Managers were non white, and I can remember non white staff being promoted above their abilities because of their skin colour, as the department needed N% of managers to be non white. Indeed at one point it was a standing joke that a one eyed, lesbian, ethnic woman would make a very senior position within 2-3 years as they would fit so many of the criteria, and yes it was policy it was called "positive discrimination"

I would have to agree that Alexa should not suggest it but... As a child a group of of would often see who could hold onto the electric cattle fence longest. Even now I can't resist having a quick touch whenever I see one. It would probably be about the same buzz from a phone charger if the RCD was not paying attention.

hear an MP seriously suggest over Christmas
that if they were in power they would use the extra money the government is getting from VAT on Gas and Electricity, as bills have increased, to reduce the VAT on Gas and Electricity bills to 0%
no I can't be the only person that thought that is impossible
