www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-65314241"A friend said Dr Zakrzewski had felt sick and was sorry for any upset." sorry you get into a car cos you feel ill then 5 minutes or so later feel better , and as the car is still on the route you get out and carry on. IMHO blatent cheating and should get a long disqualification from all sport. "Joasia has been a great ambassador for British sport and has inspired so many women to run and achieve their goals" In February, at the Taipei Ultramarathon in Taiwan, Dr Zakrzewski won the 48-hour race outright - setting a world record across 255 miles (411.5 km). surely being caught using a car in one race must bring her whole record and reputation into account.

Reminiscent of the earliest days of the Tour de France when cyclists would nip onto a train to cover some of the route. (In those days - the 1900s - a stage could take 12 hours or more to complete.)

Being gay is neither good nor bad, it's just the way some people are. Countries that kill you for being gay are indeed bad.

Umm, might that not better be phrased as... "Accepting LGBTQ++ people for who they are is good. Repressing them is bad"...? Or do you think you can "catch the gay" through some sort of proximity to a rainbow flag?

'... security forces have killed at least 530 protesters - including 71 children - since the protests began.' I would say this is bad whatever country it was in. And it doesn't make it OK if it is 'only' to suppress Women and LGBTQ people.

BBC Let's talk to our expert ... oh dear our free Zoom session has ended. It went up, didn't come down ... apparently a success despite blowing up without separating.

So you don't think that the press in a free country should report on the (severe) repression of our fellow human beings for simply being who they are, or protesting about the suppression of being who they are or want to be ? Many would think that a rather important function of the media in a free country. Is that because you think that the internal workings of a country are purely a matter for the authorities of that country, regardless of the nature of those authorities ? We know how well you are read up and do your research, so there can be no doubts that you are aware that the authorities in Iran not just suppresses the rights of, flogs and imprisons gays, but also executes a fair number of them. That has included teenagers. Public hangings from cranes used to be one of their techniques. It doesn't really matter that - in this specific instance - it is LGBTQ. It could equally be about those women who have been severely beaten or killed death by the Morality Police.. That of course is independent of the protesters that is has killed, either on the street or subsequently executed after "trials" arising from the protests. If one views reporting of that as 'state sponsored propaganda' - and/or as heavily implied part of some ongoing LGBTQ conspiracy bias - rather than helping to shine a light on behalf of those who cant, then has to say something about one's own values. What if they were killing all children with severe learning disabilities because it was an affront to the religious authorities ? Would reporting of that be "state sponsored propaganda" ? Or if they were forcing all those with red hair to shave it off, wear red stars and live in their own segregated areas: would reporting that be 'state sponsored propaganda' ?

Edit: does anyone know what this will have cost Elon?

It underwent a "rapid, unscheduled disassembly". Reminds me of the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, that killed 6 astronauts. Described at the time by the commentator as a major malfunction.

For someone who has so many disasters and losses it's amazing he accumulated nearly 450B$ supposedly, he shouldn't have that much money. It's just like he's wasting and losing other people's money, can't be surely.
How many years to land humans on Mars in his investor pitches? An unrealistic number. He's a sandbagging grifter.
