I hope that todays vote will finally oust the lying, philandering law breaker. I find myself hoping that he survives it. It's less than two years until the next election (May 2024, unless called sooner). He'd be a total lame duck, so open to internal rebellions in contentious votes. A Johnson-led party won't stand a cat in hell's chance at the next election. And... ...who the hell would replace him? An utter line-up of mediocrities and even worse options. Unfortunately this also applies to the other party leaders who would like to replace him in 2024.

I hope that todays vote will finally oust the lying, philandering law breaker. If even the type of people who spend their weekends off hanging around a cathedral hoping for a glimpse of some old lady are actively booing the man, its a pretty sure sign he has completely lost the support of the general public. How thick are some people, just been talking to someone I thought was sensible and he's expecting Starmer to be moving into number 10 tomorrow, as labour came second in the general election, this is a person mid 40's not a youngster. ( Maybe a widely held view as Starmer is Favourite to be next PM ) LOL bookies odds are silly4/1 he loses tonight but 12/1 he leaves number 10 by the end of June... And these are not the only ones.
Down in sunny Tiverton and Honiton my door knocker has been nearly warn out by a line of Lib Dem canvassers trying to persuade me to vote for their man. I've had to buy some extra rubbish sacks to dispose of the torrent of vague and misleading Lib Dem cr*p that lands on my door mat.
2019 general election - Conservatives 36k votes, Labour 12k, LibDems 9k.
Bookies now saying LibDems are 5/1 on to win

LOL bookies odds are silly 4/1 he loses tonight but 12/1 he leaves number 10 by the end of June... Ain't no way he'll resign as PM, even if he does. He'll put himself back into the leadership contest. He doesn't move out until the leadership contest is done and dusted. 2019 took almost exactly two months between May's resignation and Johnson's appointment, 24th May to 23rd July. 2016's was quicker - Cameron resigned on 24th June, May was appointed on 11th July, but only because Leadsom dropped out of the final two, so it didn't need a membership vote. 2005's was interminable - Howard resigned on 6th May, Cameron wasn't appointed until 6th December. But that was in opposition... With no obvious appointee, 12/1 seems way too low, but I'm no gambler. If he loses the confidence vote he can't stand in the subsequent leadership contest.

My money was on Sunak for successor during the last Boris crisis but since then he's been outed as a tax dodger and covid partier. I'd probably guess at Sajid Javid as the most likely frontrunner now??

I'm sure most would agree that whatever you think of him, his star quality has to be the way he puts integrity and honesty at the heart of everything he does. Brexit or no-brexit, this is a sincere politician who never puts a step wrong. No silliness, no gaffs just a character to look up to and admire. Do I have 3 cheers for Boris? hip hip....

You can bet that every single detail was signed off by somebody who knows the bible VERY well indeed, who is very unlikely to enjoy their weekly audiences, and who has previous for trolling him.

Bearing in mind the same crowd apparently also cheered Harry and Me-Again, they may not be all that discerning, or representative of the population at large. Wouldn't the majority of the crowd likely be left-leaning London metropolitan types?

been out all day, offline. Have had to do a double take and check the bbc etc. after reading this. Still, I guess this evening's entertainment is taken care of.
Not overly keen in the Conservative party going through one of its ritual blood letting in the middle of a war in europe, but then again we are talking about Boris so maybe....

This is a remarkably good hatchet job (needs sound).
