It's not actually "smart" in the "connected to the internet" sense (why a fridge would need to be is another question)... It's "smart" in the sense that it's had high-tech coatings applied to allegedly increase germination etc. www.gardenhealth.com/gro-sure-smart-lawn-seed(aka marketing buzzword bull...)

I have my doubts about the smartness of motorways that have had the hard shoulder converted into a running-lane.
Next month I should be taking delivery of my first new car for 13 years (a modest Ford Fiesta). I'm dreading its new technology. When enquiring about several potential models to buy, I always asked how easy it was to disable Lane Control, which may be great on motorways but is reputed to be a liability on the sorts of country roads and lanes that I use.
It's not reassuring that several petrolhead car reviewers have admitted to finding controls in some cars confusing, not least when touchscreens and menus are involved.

yes my darling OHs car has a lane "watch" that buzzes if you look like straying from your lane , the road I live on cars park right down one side so diving in 1 direction I'd permanently get it beeping at me
