I am 66 years old next month so I will be at retirement age but I am still working at the moment. I have been told you don't pay NI after you reach state pension age, does that include your work pay if you carry on working? I ask the question because I am a contractor on PAYE and have been ask to work another 6 months to help finish off a backlog?

The NI "Levy" announced last week will be payable by pensioners still working from April 2023 (I think that's when it starts ie once it becomes a "levy").

if paying class 1or 2 it should stop in the April Before you hit retirement age ! As you can't pay after retirement age but part years don't count
