The bid restriction on this morning's new loan was supposed to be lifted at 11.00 am. In fact it was lifted at 11.10 and all gone by 11.11. Having already taken part in the ten o'clock scrummage I was not impressed to spend 10 fruitless minutes on the refresh button, despite which I still managed to miss the boat. NOTE: Post moved to this more specific thread.
Yes it's obviously not automated. I have very tired fingers now.
It looks like there are some 'bots in play to me. I was constantly manually refreshing my small pledge, but n********1 was able to get £1,500 in tranche 2 and £1,000 in tranche 1 before my pledge was rejected due to insufficient availability.
Could just be sour grapes though.

Could just be sour grapes though. Its an age old problem, but could be made more equitable by adding a bid limit to the second round allowing more investors a second bite. Personally I usually find the initial bid limits ample for the amounts I currently feel comfortable investing. It may in part be due to someone stockpiling in anticipation of a secondary market. Not having a secondary market that trades above par as a stated aim may weed that out of the system. Maybe more Quagreedy Karma than a cause for sour grapes in your case. Edit, I didn't read the first post or realise it was an 11 o'clock bid lift. Given it is the 11th of November I suspect 'good form' was shown by not lifting till sometime after 11 o'clock. In fact I had taken that as the reason for a 10 o'clock launch. Remembering is important whatever your standpoint.

Will donate any profits achieved from this one to the cause.

Your once is remarkably impressive in that context.

My complaint was, and remains, that the restriction was not removed at the expected time whether or not that time was inappropriate.

n*1 was first in on both loans again today, even though they were released at the same time. There's no doubt now that some sort of skulduggery is going on. Tagging connectivelending

I've never tried it but what about 2 logins to the same account with a helper ? Skulduggery has an interesting etymology, possibly came from an old scottish word sculdudrie meaning fornication and adultery. I'm not sure which version is worse !

Tagging connectivelending They have not been signed into the forum since November 19th (which does not mean not reading obviously), so I am curious to see if you get a response. Maybe with loans filling relatively quick and easily the feeling is their work here is done.

The clocks appeared first I was aiming to go for the watch first, but as it wasn't available I've started from the clocks - got both Cs anyway...

I was there on the dot,and got the clocks then straight onto the watch, N*1 was way quicker than me??? (im not the quickest, but £+tick in box, then click on other loan ant exactly time consuming.

It's good to know that you're listening. However, from your reply, it seems that you may have missed the point. The suspicion is that some user(s) is/are using bots to gain quicker access to the loans. I.e. software programs that automatically refresh the page multiple times per second to detect exactly when the loan becomes available and instantly make a pledge. I suppose it's up to the platform to decide whether this is fair/allowed or not. If it is allowed it will eventually force anyone who wants a slice of these small loans to also use a bot or miss out on the loan. It would then become a bot arms race to see who can write the best bots. It could also lead to problems with the platform receiving too many concurrent requests from competing bots.
