I decided to change the withdrawal arrangements for my remaining Euro platforms and found that they would all now automatically add a Wise account (was Transferwise) after adding 10€ from there. I can now withdraw to my Wise account directly, which is in my name and in Belgium and cheaply convert the money to £s and return it to my UK bank.
For anyone who does not know Wise, it also gives you a debit card so you can withdraw and spend in another currency without the excessive conversion charges made by UK banks. The same goes for any foreign payments you may need to make.

I use a Starling Euro account for the same reasons.

I assume that the exchange charges are the usual Transferwise fee. Revolut will allow you to exchange £1,000 per month with no fees and 0.5% afterwards.

I have a Multi currency Fineco account includes a Euro Debit card which is nice if you travel in Europe. Can be a Sterling debit card as well. Trading/investing in some 12 or so currencies Close to 0 currency exchange rates 3.95EUR/GBP per trade
(registration was a pain but did work in the end; there are plenty complains at Trustpilot about the processes. I agree signing up is a pain, but I don't regret it.)

forgot to say: each of the multicurrency accounts has an individual account number (check for fees or other costs/constraints)
