A good thing in the big picture probably. I had intended to invest a 'decent' amount but eventually could not justify it at this time.
The lack of a secondary market and vague updates just create too much uncertainty for me.

Yes, ultimately this is a big vote of confidence in AblRate.
We all want the platform to prosper, so the fact that they were able to raise half a million quid in just a few days shows many investors have confidence in AblRate.

The lack of a secondary market and vague updates just create too much uncertainty for me. For me that the updates might be vague doesn't come into it. For me, the updates just don't count. Had they sent them sufficiently in advance prior to the new loan being put in the queue, I'd have taken them at face value, but IMO they were only sent because the new loan was in the queue. That makes them in my view opportunistic and worthless.

I was referring to the updates over the last six months regarding the many troubled loans none of which to date have produced the fruit the blossom promised.

Perversely, the Saturday update said it was meant to go out Friday, which would have looked like an action to help fill the loan. It makes you think they either couldn't care what lenders thought or they have no idea what lenders think of the current situation.

After a very promising start, ABL has now become a damage limitation company. Too risky until I see some returns from the many non-performing loans in my portfolio.

So, 175 not paid today (Thursday) with 171 due Friday and 176 due Saturday.
Hopefully, it's just a blip and we get all three paid.
Update: 175 & 171 paid together on Friday morning.

Expected to repay tomorrow Wednesday 28th. 175 partial repayment received today, maturity date shown as 5th October Admin note just posted by Ablrate: LENDER UPDATE 28 SEPT 22: This loan is due for full settlement today. We have received today’s interest payment and a partial capital payment of £100,000. These will be credited to Lenders’ account shortly. Pea Won has advised that it is waiting for further funds to clear, which it expects to be within the coming days, and upon receipt, the outstanding balance will be paid down. We apologise for the delay in settlement and will update Lenders once we have more clarity with regards to the timeline.
